Lindswell Kowk, a youngster athtlete from Medan, North Sumatera, had gained a lot of success in Wushu Championship. In World Junior Wushu Championship in Bali 2008, Lindswell and Dessy Indri Astuti beat their Chinese competitors in two martial arts categories to grab two gold medals for Indonesia on the opening day.

Again, Lindswell proved her work hard is not useless. In Wushu X-2009 held in Toronto, Ontario, Kanada, Lindswell reached the highest point in Taichiquan category that made her become Wushu World Champion.

Lindswell Kwok may be just an ordinary girl from Medan, North Sumatera, Indonesia. Born 24 September 1991, this chinese Indonesian girl studied in Hangkesturi High School. Her name, suddenly become headline in Medan and National Newspapers after she had got gold medals in several Wushu Championships.

Lindswell's achievement today can not be seperated with Master Supandi Kusuma, chief of Pengurus Besar Wushu Indonesia (PBWI) and the founder of Yayasan Kusuma Wushu Indonesia.

Lindswell Kowk Medals and Records 

Lindswell also take part in 25th SEA GAMES LAOS 2009. Lindswell prove her compentency to get a silver medal in category Taijiqian, only 0.02 point behind Chai Fong Ying, the winner from Malaysia. Although missed her first Gold SEA GAMES Medal, we should highly praised Lindswell and support her.

Lindswell Kwok finished with a gold medal in taijijian in 2013.

24-year old Lindswell Kwok wears many hats, being a psychology student at the University of North Sumatra and a part-time model, but she is perhaps most known for her exploits as a national Wushu exponent. Thanks to her down-to-earth personality and good looks, Kwok is unsurprisingly Indonesia’s wushu princess.

She picked up wushu when she was just five years old, when she learnt the strokes and techniques of taijiquan and taijijian. After which, she participated in various national championships, bring pride and glory to her hometown of Medan.

Kwok became a regular fixture in the national papers and developed into a household name when she began winning medals for Indonesia on the international stage. She made her mark in 2006, winning the bronze medal at the World Junior Championships. Kwok improved her performance, and a mere two years later, she clinched the gold medal at the 2008 Bali World Junior Championships. This was swiftly followed by her 2009 taijiquan gold medal win at the World Championships held in Toronto. She also managed a bronze medal in the taijijian category.

In the 2013 World Championships in Kuala Lumpur, she finished with a similar amount of spoils, though it was a gold medal in taijijian and a bronze medal in taijiquan this time. At the SEA Games in 2011 and 2013, she also won gold medals in both her events, bringing plenty of glory to Indonesia. Her intensive training schedule in recent years paid off when she managed to win a silver medal at the 17th Asian Games, which was a source of vindication for her after she missed out on a medal at the previous edition in Guangzhou.
